Piestany won the Final 4

Slovakian basketball team Piešťanské Čajky is the winner of 2018/19 season of CEWL. In the final, they have beaten Hradec Králové from the Czech Republic 60:54 and revenge their last years lost to the KP Brno in the finals.

The tournament, which was held in Brno in hala Rosnička, also included home team Žabiny Brno and Slovakian Young Angles Košice.

In the semifinals Žabiny fell to the eventual winner Čajky 60:67 in a hard-fought game and Hradec beat Košice easily 90:62. Košice then struggled even in the third-place game against Žabiny and lost 51:75.

The final game was very close throughout but Čajky were on top almost the whole game. Lvice from Hradec get the lead shortly in the third quarter but they were not able to hold it and Čajky could celebrate in the end.
