First victory for SNV, complication for Nymburk and Ostrava without chance

First win in the last game of CEWL season for Rucon 2014 Spisska Nova Ves shocked Basketball Nymburk and make them complication before their last game in Group phase and direct fight on Final 4 ticket. Nymburk missed point guard Veronika Bortelova and home team took advantage of it. Four players of Rucon scored double figures and with good defense was it a key to the win. Walteia Rolle from Nymburk collected double-double 18 points and 23 rebounds, but she missed 14 shots from the field and 3 free throwes. So, Nymburk has to win in Trutnov next week, if they want to play Final 4.

 

David Demecko, Rucon 2014 Spisska Nova Ves coach: “We really needed this victory, especially on mental side. We won after good performance against 4th team of Czech leage, which has good name. I am satisfied. Girls played team basketball, passed the ball quickly and the result came.”

Univ. Goldis ICIM Arad ends the Group phase with two home games, both against SBS Ostrava. In the first of them was Arad better from the beginning of the game a beat Ostrava without any problems. Arad led after the first half by 20 points and all players from the bench could play. The second game is scheduled on Wednesday.
