Arad showed power in Austria

The bronze medal team of the last season Flying Foxes SVS Post lost their second game too. Flying Foxes lost the second game in the row and are in not good situation in Standings after start of CEWL season. But! The opponent of Foxes in their first home game was very tough – Univ. Goldis ICIM Arad.

 

FF-AradArad lost only two games in the last CEWL season and both with title holders and Romanian rival C.S.U. Alba Iulia. It was the first game for Arad and Romanian team showed that their goals are this year same like in the seasons before – at least Final Four. ICIM Arad led from the first minutes to the end of game a went for their first win without big troubles.

 

Two players of Arad's squad collected double-double and one player was very close. Laura Broomfield continued in the great performance from the last season and booked 20 poinst and 15 rebounds in 29 minutes. The second player with double-double was Katherine Plouffe (16 points and 12 rebounds). Meighan Simmons missed only one rebound to double-double, when she scored 14 points.

 

Home found one player with double-double too. Hallie Christofferson collected 20 points and 11 rebounds. Two players more booked double-figures – Szekély-Horvath 14 and Lichnerova 10. Jattera Bonds wrote 7 assists, but missed 11 shots from the field.

 

Flying Foxes (0-2) and ICIM Arad (1-0) are on the opposite side of the Standings, but both teams should fight on the end of Group phase about Final Four participation.
